The Bouroulllec brothers have gone beyond the creation of a practical, elegant and comfortable design in an attempt to create something customisable and transportable, the idea "driven by internet situations where you can choose the textile, the structure, the size and receive it quite quickly".

The Can Sofa comes flat-packed and is assembled at home so you get it quicker and in a simpler way, as it is easier to transport. The idea of the name Can is that “you can”, “you can make it”, just don’t be afraid. Maybe the sofa will raise the fear “can I do this?”, “is it going to be right?” So, it is implemented into the name itself, just don’t be afraid, it will work.

Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are internationally acclaimed French designers whose work has shaped contemporary furniture and product design over the past two decades. Born in Quimper, Brittany, the brothers established their Paris-based design studio in 1999 and quickly gained recognition for their unique ability to blend simplicity, functionality and poetic form.

Their portfolio spans furniture, lighting, textiles, accessories and architectural projects, with collaborations that include some of the world’s leading design brands such as Vitra, HAY, Artek, Magis, Alessi, , Flos and Kvadrat. The Bouroullec brothers’ designs are celebrated for their refined balance between everyday practicality and artistic expression, often exploring modular systems, organic forms and innovative uses of materials.
