Description
The Fredericia Søborg chair designed by Børge Mogensen was originally prototyped in 1950 as Mogensen aimed to combine his original solid wood designs with plywood manufacturing to bridge the gap between handmade and industrial products. Mogensen partenered with Hans J. Wegenr to produce a design for MoMA's 'low cost furniture' exhibition and the contemporary Søborg chair was the result of their collaboration.
This wooden dining chair has a rounded seat and back manfactured from plywood which are then attached to a solid wood frame; carefully balancing bespoke and industrial furniture techniques to create a low cost yet attractive design.
Available in a range of wooden finishes the Søborg chair is perfect for private or public spaces. The Søborg chair is also available a steel frame.
