Description
Vernor Panton's Flowerpot Pendant Light from &Tradition takes its name from the 'Flower Power' movement of the 1960s. With its curvaceous shape and bold colour, the Flowerpot Pendant became a symbol of the movement which revolted against stiff old values and initiated a generation of peace, harmony and love.
Verner Panton and his Flowerpot Pendant Light are the embodiment of 1960s designs which were notable for being decidedly more exuberant than those that had come before. Despite being a disciple of Arne Jacobsen, Pnaotn pioneered his own approach to Modernism. Like his other designs, the Flowerpot injects a pop of colour and playfulness to any interior.
The lamp is ideal for positioning under a lounge chair or sofa and can be hung singularly or in clusters above a dining space for a beautifully contemporary feel.

Verner Panton
Architect and designer Verner Panton started out as an assistant to Arne Jacobsen. His eccentricity earned him a reputation as Denmark's most controversial designer. He also earned a reputation for lighting with an instinct for creating atmosphere. Here we feature some of his most iconic designs for Vitra including the iconic Panton Chair.
