Flos Toio LED Floor Lamp
One of the most fascinating and distinctive classics of mid-century design, the Flos Toio Floor Lamp has been reworked for the 21st Century with this LED version of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni's iconic lamp.

- Material : Angle iron and formed steel base, painted in a variety of colours. Hexagonal nickel-plated brass height-adjustable stem with telescopic head. On the cable there is the electronic dimmer which allows for the regulation of light brightness.

Description
With its bold and striking industrial aesthetic, the Flos Toio LED Floor Lamp strips the form back to its bare parts, emphasising the functionality of the piece over overt decoration or frivalty. The stem of the lamp sits on a telescopic arm, allowing for the light to be moved in height in order to adapt to facilitate specific tasks, while the simple lightbulb provides an upwards facing indirect light.
The Toio Floor Lamp was inspired by the headlamp of a car, and stands as one of Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni's most recognisable and iconic creations. First introduced in 1962, the Toio is today available with a choice of three different bases, and now features an LED bulb which can be dimmed to suit.

Achille Castiglioni
Achille Castiglioni (1918 - 2002) was an Italian architect and remains one of our most prolific designers of twentieth century iconic products such as the Arco Lamp, Taraxacum and Fucsia lights for Flos as well as many other lighting designs and numerous household items for Alessi. MoMA in New York features 14 of his works and he has received seven Compasso d'Oro awards.
