The Audo Copenhagen Crescent Shelving is a sculptural storage piece designed by Colin King. Featuring a distinctive crescent-shaped profile with a flat front and curved back, it is designed to be viewed from all angles. Crafted in lacquered oak, this low shelving is beautiful as a display piece on its own or used as a media centre for a music system or TV stand.

Description
Expanding a long-standing creative partnership, the Crescent Shelving range marks Colin King’s first furniture design for Audo Copenhagen - a refined expression of his signature aesthetic translated into functional sculpture.
Defined by its distinctive crescent-shaped form, the design is flat at the front and gently curved at the back, creating a dynamic silhouette that invites interaction from every angle. Unlike traditional shelving, Crescent is designed to stand confidently within a spaceor against a wall. Its open construction allows light and sightlines to pass through, making it an elegant solution for storage, display, or as a stand for a TV or music system.
Crafted from lacquered oak, the shelving unit features smooth contours and softly rounded edges that temper its architectural structure with warmth and tactility. Adjustable feet ensure perfect stability across different surfaces, reinforcing its considered design.
Both sculptural and highly functional, the Crescent Shelving High embodies a modern approach to living - where furniture is not only practical, but expressive.

Colin King
Originally trained as a dancer, Colin King developed a strong sensitivity to movement and spatial awareness, which later shaped his approach to interiors and design. Transitioning into styling, he became known for his ability to bring spaces to life, eventually expanding his practice into product design.
Now based in Tribeca, New York, he divides his time between styling on set and designing from his studio. His work has been featured in leading publications including Architectural Digest and T Magazine, and he collaborates with a wide range of clients across the worlds of interiors and product design.
King draws ongoing inspiration from everyday moment - small rituals, subtle gestures, and natural imperfection - finding beauty in how these elements evolve within a space.
