Artemide Islet Wall Light
Made from opal glass, the Artemide Islet Wall Light was inspired by the air vents on the New York City subway. Light escapes from the slits on the face of the light, multiplying the output and creating a dappled effect depending on where the light is viewed from.

Why you'll love this wall mounted light
Islet, designed by Mikko Laakkonen for Artemide, is a wall light with a minimal shape yet poetic lighting effect. Its surface is animated by light rays escaping from the slits on the front of the structure which multiply and diffuse the light, thereby creating a varying perception of light depending on one's view point toward it. The structure is made from opal glass, which hides the LED source from sight and closes the top and bottom for light diffusion without glaring.
