The Hexagonal Table
was designed by Alexander Girard
in 1967. The most striking feature of this side table is its six-sided top in polished aluminium. Girard inscribed it with a three-dimensional pattern of triangles, which can reflect rays of light as a geometric motif on a wall. This structure and its playful visual effects counter the cool materiality of the design, whose elegant base has four splayed legs.
