The Copacabana Chair is from a series of furniture designed by Mathieu Matégot and manufactured by Gubi. The chair is a black lacquered tubular frame surrounding a round seat and a back made from perforated sheet metal. The cushion comes in a range of leathers and fabrics - see descriptions below.
Matégotwas the first to combine metal tubing with perforated sheet metal. His experimentation and developments resulted in a collection of iconic designs which are equally fit for purpose today as when they were originally conceived in the 1950s.
