The LC7 Swivel Chair, from Cassina, was designed by Le Corbusier in collaboration with his cousin Pierre Jeanneret and architect Charlotte Perriand. Their designs form the LC Series - a range of furniture classics.
The LC7 and stool version LC8 are two variations of the same chair and are an example of how best to optimise mass production techniques. This chair features a tubular shaped backrest, which together with the seat, can be upholstered in leather or fabric from a selection of colours.
The tubular steel base, with either a polished chrome plated or matt black enamel finish, incorporates a device linking the legs and seat - permitting the latter to revolve. Four broadly curved legs ensure optimum strength and a firm stance.
The LC7 Swivel Chair is part of the the "Cassina Maestri" collection. These are certified original designs, each of which is marked with the signature of the designer and the Cassina Maestri logo, in addition to the production number and identity card.
Canvas - 100% Cotton, Martindale - 12 000
LXC Leather - Full-grain cowhide leather, dyed thoroughly. Water semi-polyurethane finishing that preserves the natural characteristics of softness and providing adequate surface protection against stains. Slight imperfections of the natural grain are a proof of the naturalness of the article.
Extra Leather – Full grain leather, semi aniline (protected). A special finish is given to blend colour and lustre without altering the transpiration and feel of the leather.
