Colouring books for adults (although children can use them too) are all the rage at the moment and are likely to be on many people’s Christmas lists. They allow people with little creative talent to produce something that looks fantastic, and it can also be incredibly relaxing. This I Heart Colouring book features a whole host of detailed designs just begging to be coloured, including scenes of flowers, birds, butterflies and much more.
How To Talk Proper In Liverpool: Lern Yerself Scouse
Being based in Liverpool, we know that the local dialect is a totally unique one and one that’s instantly recognisable to anyone around the country. This book, amazingly originally published in 1966, is a phrase book of sorts, with guides to the most common Scouse terms and words. It also features some history of the dialect and some local history too.
This could perhaps be the geekiest thing ever created - a periodic table of typefaces. This is the perfect gift for graphic designers, writers, computer nerds or just anyone with a geeky sense of humour.
Gentlemen’s Hardware Hair & Body Wash

If those Danish building blocks are a little too mainstream (and probably expensive), these Japanese alternatives are ideal. Perfect for kids and big kids alike, this Nanoblock Tyrannosaurus will keep the recipient quiet for a few minutes at least and will look great on a bookshelf in a bedroom or desk at work. If you’re buying for a writer, then this Peacock Pen from Hay is a fantastic gift and one that will add a touch of elegance to any writing session. Even if they’re not a writer, they can feel like William Shakespeare just by writing a shopping list or when doing a crossword.
If normal pen knives just aren’t cutting it for you (ha!), then this animal multi-tool is pretty cool. It features seven tools - flat head screwdriver, bottle opener, knife, wire stripper, file, phillips head screwdriver, and punch - some of which are shaped like animals. It also has a beechwood outer casing to complete the look.
In all honesty, we’re not 100% sure why this exists. However, it does feature dancing pugs, and sometimes that’s all the reason you need.
