The Pito Kettle was designed for Alessi by Frank Gehry in 1992, the great architect of Bilbao's Guggenheim Museum and LA's Philharmonic Hall.

He draws a great deal of inspiration from aquatic forms and particularly the sea and, looking more like a sculpture than a kettle, Pito resembles two fish jumping over a wave. With a contrasting polished stainless steel body and mahogany handle and melodic whistle this kettle is already a design classic.
