Information

The Carla by German born Florian Schmid is part of the Zeitraum collection. Geometric composition from the circle and line forms the Carla and its narrow proportions mean the mirror & sideboard unit is perfect for use in a bedroom or dressing room, but also in the corridor, hall, bathroom or hotel room.

A flat wooden board, resting on two legs, cuts the mirror along the vertical axis and thus divides the object in two halves. The full height of the mirror is retained from the outside, offering an unobstructed view.

On the inside, a narrow shelf space provides room for accessories such as jewellery, and it features a hardly visible cable guide behind the shelf which acts as a good place for smart phones, mobiles and other electronic devices. Due to its reflection in the mirror, the shelf seems visually larger than it actually is, and even seems to stand on three legs and/or lean on an artificial window, leading to the room looking larger and interplay between looking in and looking out.

Due to the Carla's intelligent construction, the mirror can be mounted on either the left or right, allowing it to be adjusted to suit any interior space.

Available in two sizes and in two different wood finishes, the Carla also comes in a right angled mirror version called the Carlo, which you can view here

Wood Details:
Oak - Firm, hard and elastic with visible annual rings.
American Walnut - Black-brown colour with striped texture and fine-poured marking.
