The Akari UF2-33N Table Lamp designed by Isamu Noguchi from Vitra was first designed in 1951 as part of the Akari Light Sculptures collection, a group of handcrafted lights named after the Japanese word "akari" which means "light".
The Akari UF2-33N Table Lamp represents therefore both illumination and physical lightness, with the combination of its design and the way the light filters through the lightweight paper form. The Akari UF2-33N Table Lamp is created from washi paper and bamboo ribbing and is supported by a metal frame.
