Robin Day

Robin Day was one of the most influential British furniture designers of the 20th century. He is be best remembered for his polypropylene moulded stacking chairs. After graduating from the Royal College of Art in London he was later invited to design furniture for Hille, they undertook a complete transformation together and began to produce ranges of modern furniture. Day continued to design furniture for Hille for many years to come with the Toro and Woodro beam seats around 1990 which set the standards for public area seating. Here we feature his Sussex Tavolo Dining Table for Magis.
