Vitra Eames Elephant
To celebrate the 100th birthday of Charles Eames in 2007, Vitra introduced a limited anniversary edition of the Eames Plywood Elephant, the legendary furniture sculpture that was designed in 1945 but never produced for general distribution or sale.
As both Charles and Ray Eames were fascinated by elephants and the Plywood Elephant was designed both as a toy for children, and a striking sculptural object that makes a statement in any environment with its vigorous curves and delightful character.
The success of the Plywood Elephant meant it soon sold out but for 2008 Vitra have produced this fantastic polypropylene edition in 5 striking colours - a delight for both adults and children alike.
DUE AT THE END OF NOVEMBER WE ARE CURRENTLY TAKING ORDERS FOR THIS PRODUCT.
