The Steelwood Stool, as its eponymous name suggests, is made from two contrasting materials : steel and wood. Designed by Rowan & Erwan Bouroullec for Magis the Steelwood Stool has a frame in steel plate painted epoxy resin with legs and a seat in solid beech; this is either natural or or painted.

The juxtaposition of the two Steelwood Stool materials is accentuated with the visibility of the connection screws, reinforcing the design and construction honesty of the Steelwood design.

Crossing the boundaries between contemporary and classic the Steelwood Stool lends itself to both styles of interiors, or a fusion of both.
