This gorgeous George Nelson Home Desk from Vitra is as graceful as it is decorative.
It has a fine and lavishly produced base in chrome which support the work platform. This has a white surface and is contrasted with compartment separators, supporting the upper surface, which are lacquered in bright colours. The whole desk is then framed in walnut. Underneath the desk surface are two discreetly placed slender black drawers with moulded compartments for paper, writing instruments, paperclips and stationery paraphernalia.
The Home Desk is one of George Nelson's design classics and though originally conceived as a ladies desk, today the Home Desk has many uses as a small work station for that super cool home office.
