Designed in 1948 the Vitra re-edition George Nelson Ball Clock embodies the spirit of the day when it was designed - when everyone wanted to be modern and everything seemed possible up to and during the Festival of Britain. They still look as modern today as they did then and have been copied many times - a testament to their success.
The Ball Clock consists of wooden balls mounted on metal spokes with a central metal casing. It's available in 6 colours : multi, orange, natural, red, white and, in celebration of the centenary of the birth of its designer, George Nelson, Vitra introduced a black version with a brass casing in 2008.
