The Tolomeo Desk Lamp by Artemide is one of the most versatile lights on the market - not only does it look fantastic in cutting edge contemporary environments but it also contrasts brilliantly in more traditional interiors.

The Tolomeo Lamp also has numerous applications - whether it be on a desk, bedside table, dressing table or side table. No wonder so many stylists use it in photoshoots!

Tolomeo's beauty and versatility lies in the architectural appeal of the exposed steel wires which control its balance and positioning.

Designed in 1987 Tolomeo was awarded the Compasso d'Oro (Golden Compass), a highly coveted award which has only been awarded twenty times since its introduction in 1954, due to its utilitarian design and neat precision of engineering - a sharp contrast to the garish excesses of the decade!

There are 3 size options available in the Tolomeo range : Tolomeo Micro (including an LED option), Tolomeo Mini and Tolomeo Standard.

As standard Tolomeo comes with polished aluminium arms whilst the shade is in a contrasting anodised aluminium. The lamp is adjusted via its system of spring balancing and the handle on the rotating head. A switch is also located on the head.
