Tea Matter is the ultimate tea strainer. Designed by Alan Chan for Alessi the design was inspired by Chinese history, when bird fanciers would take their caged birds to tea.
Made from 18/10 polished stainless steel it features a tea strainer bird shaped spoon. When removed and placed back in the cage it tweets melodically. Use it to strain tea when pouring from a teapot (it will also rest neatly on a teacup), then place back in the cage, the base of which also acts as a drip tray.
An exquisite gift Tea Matter is the ultimate accessory for afternoon tea. The strainer element/bird is also available separately.
