Moooi Clip Chair
The Clip Lounge Chair was designed by Blasius Osko and Oliver Deichman for Moooi and, whilst it appears solid, its ingenious construction allows it to be folded for easy storage. The design was inspired by a small folding basket seen in a Belgian market where single slats were beaded on ropes to form two hinged surfaces, which could then be transformed into a curved three dimensional object. The same principles were applied to the design of the Clip Chair and when it's open its straight identical slats form a spacious seating space with supreme comfort. This design also makes the Clip Chair highly practical and creates a sculptural object of outstanding beauty - whether it be folded or open. Made from solid beech the Clip Chair is available in three colour finishes - black, white and wenge. It also has limited use outdoors.
