Lightyears Caravaggio Pendant Lamp

Caravaggio was launched in 2005 from the relatively new and exciting Danish lighting company Lightyears.

The designer, Cecilie Manz, wanted to create a simple and soft design which lent itself to both small and large pendant fittings. With Caravaggio the curves passed through a number of shapes during the design process but the final version captures a soft and feminine form.

Caravaggio is made of drawn steel and coated with a smooth high gloss paint the technology is masculine in construction which creates the right counterbalance to the shades feminine lines.

The suspension assembly consists of curved steel rods and two pieces of turned brass coated in matt chrome. The depth of the shade prevents glare, no matter how high the pendant is hung. It also features an open air top which casts light upwards and illuminates both the suspension and the cord. In fact, we love this light so much we even used it in our Preston store for ambient lighting.

Caravaggio comes available in five sizes (see below) in either black or white. The largest size also comes available with a reflector.
