The Rin Chair by Japanese designer Hiromichi Konno for Fritz Hansen was designed in 2008/9. His aim was to create a futuristic design and harmonise Danish and Japanese design traditions. The Japanese word 'Rin' means stunning, elegant and courageous.

The result is a chair which has an innovative and progressive design. Made with a plastic shell the frame has a 4-legged star shaped base made from polished aluminium with black plastic glides on the feet.
