The Archimoon K from Flos is a further development in the desk or table light by Philippe Starck. It follows the designs of his 'Miss K' light designed in 2003/04.
The shade has an acid etched borosilicate glass internal diffuser and an outer injection moulded polycarbonate shade. The two 'layers' seal an aluminised finish between them. The frame is made of aluminium with steel tie rods and springs for movement and angling. The base is made from lead weighted die cast zamak and the whole frame is painted matt grey. The on/off switch is located on the adjustable head.
It comes available with 4 colour options of shade : grey/silver, blue, yellow and red.
