The Alessi Alessandro M Corkscrew by Alessandro Mendini has inspired a number of limited edition runs of a series of designs. These are all hand painted and individually numbered.

'Sun Dream' is part of the 2008 range of just 2 designs. He was inspired through Alessi's collaboration with Amici dei Bambini whose work to give abandoned children the fundamental right to a family led to the launch of the Bojarka orphanage in Ukraine. The idea came from the white cloud as the symbol of dreams and thus representing the sense of freedom which children can realise through their dreams.

The work of Alessi and dei Bambini is ongoing and you can purchase the Sun Dream Corkecrew safe in the knowledge that Alessi will contribute ALL of the proceeds from every sale of this limited edition to other childrens orphanages in Mongolia and Brazil.

To use this corkscrew you simply sit it over a bottle and screw the head down. The cork will lift out automatically into the lower body. Easy!
