The Alessi Alessandro M Corkscrew by Alessandro Mendini has inspired a number of limited edition runs of a series of designs. These are all hand painted and individually numbered.

'Harlequin' is part of the 2008 range of just 2 designs. He has a detachable Italian mask - part Bergamesque, part Venetian and wears one of the most recogniseable costumes in the world.

You can also purchase Harlequin safe in the knowledge that Alessi will contribute part of the proceeds from every sale of this limited edition to Venice City Council as part of its restoration project "Omaggio a Venetzia".

To use this corkscrew you simply sit it over a bottle and screw the head down. The cork will lift out automatically into the lower body. Easy!
