This is Vitra's re-edition of the now legendary Eames fibreglass DSR chair with its 'Eiffel Tower' style leg base. It's based on the original 1950 fibreglass design of the first industrially manufactured plastic chair.
In 1993 Vitra discontiuned production for ecological reasons as fibreglass cannot be re-cycled. Thanks to recent advances in technology it was produced in collaboration with Zenith Plastics for the Museum of Modern Art's Low Cost Furniture Design competition in polypropylene.
The DSR comes available six colours: black, grey, light blue, lime yellow, red and white and remains one of our best selling chairs.
