Lluis Clotet was born in Barcelona in 1941. He gained a degree in architecture from the “Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura” of Barcelona in 1965. He founded Studio Per in 1964 with Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici and Oscar Tusquets, collaborating on multiple projects until 1983. There are collections of Clotet's celebrated work in the Modern Art Museum of New York, in the Industrial Design Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris, in the Architecture Museum in Frankfurt to name a few. Clotet has designed a number of pieces for Alessi.
