The Grossman '62-Series' Dresser, by Swedish designer and architect Greta Magnusson Grossman, was used to decorate many of the homes she designed. Reissued by Gubi, the '62-Series' encompasses various furniture pieces characterised by quirky asymmetric lines and contrasting materials providing an overall lightness of form. Originally conceived in 1952, the series is named '62' as her designs were deemed to be 10 years ahead of their time.
Grossman's unusual pairings of materials and contrasting combination of sharp and rounded contours are visible through the ball-shaped feet, the powder coated slender metal legs and the deep, black, protective full gloss finish on the cabinet door and top panel.
The dresser contains three American walnut drawers with handle balls in black and one right cabinet finished with a walnut handle. The black painted edges of the top panel accentuates its classic and elegant structure.
