The Heritage Armchair, designed by Frits Henningsen in 1930, has been relaunched by Carl Hansen. The generous backrest and high padded armrests are highly inviting whilst its arching curves, softened by smooth organic lines, promote an elegant grandeur.
After travelling around Europe, Henningsen became influenced by classic British and French furniture, taking traditional expressions and updating them by adding a modern, minimalist flavour. Driven by perfection, each armchair is developed with a high level of detail using superior materials, from the solid oiled oak or walnut wood legs to the upholstery which takes 12 hours to fit.
The Black Edition of the Heritage Chair is available with black oak legs and a range of Mourne Mist upholstery. The original version of the Heritage Chair is avilable in a wider range of wood and upholstery finishes.
Fabric Description :
Mourne Mist - 90% wool and 10% cotton machine made textile. Martindale : 50,000
Thirteen buttons decorate the back which are upholstered in the same fabric or leather as the chair. The Heritage Stool is also available. This is the perfect footstool for the ultimate in relaxation and comfort.
BLACK EDITIONS - EVERY PIECE HAS A STORY
The Carl Hansen & Son Black Editions campaign has reinvented some of their most popular chairs in an all black colour way. They teamed up with Mourne Textiles who created a series of fabrics in wool and leather for the series. The Black Editions campaign ends on December 21st 2016, so make sure you get your hands on a piece of iconic furniture at a great price whilst you can!
